Xanthates
Safety Training
SNF FloMin Inc. is committed to enable all users of xanthates and other mining reagents to handle these chemicals safely. To this end we have led the industry in conducting safety classes in the proper use of xanthates at mine sites. Typically classes are scheduled to handle multiple shifts and day personnel.
Please contact us now to schedule training for all affected personnel.
Furthermore, we have issued a bulletin to highlight several important aspects concerning the safety of xanthates. Please print and review this document.

Xanthates provide a wide range of collector power, enabling the flotation metallurgist to cope with practically any problem involving sulfide minerals. Nevertheless, the best Xanthate for any particular problem however, must be determined by actual test.
The most widely used is Sodium Isopropyl Xanthate and Potassium Amyl Xanthate in Copper flotation circuits. However, experimental testing at SNF FloMin’s laboratories can narrow the choices of the other xanthates and/or specialty collectors.
SNF FloMin operates a large production facility in Qingdao, China and has grown to be the leading customized supplier of Xanthates worldwide. A variety of Xanthate solution is produced in Baytown, TX. We have a network of manufacturers to supplement the tremendous demand for palletized Xanthate. |
